The University of Wisconsin and University of Minnesota Hazelnut Research Team, in Cooperation with the Minnesota Hazelnut Foundation and Rural Advantage, invite you to attend the 1st Annual Upper Midwest Hazelnut Growers Conference. The conference is for beginning and experienced growers to learn more about growing hazelnuts, network with other growers, and help plan for further development of the industry. Prospective and resource professionals are encouraged to attend to learn more about the challenges and opportunities of growing hazelnuts in the Upper Midwest.

Hazelnut Field Day, August 11, 2009 Maiden Rock, WI
Join hazelnut researchers and growers from Minnesota and Wisconsin for a hazelnut field day at Rush River Produce in Maiden Rock, WI. John and Terry Cuddy will show-off their hazelnut plants and Jason Fischbach with UW-Extension and Lois Braun of University of Minnesota will discuss the new efforts to support hazelnut growers in the Upper Midwest. Hazelnuts for Food and Fuel, September 26, 2009 Lake City, MN
Join hazelnut grower Norm Erickson and the folks from Rural Advantage to learn more about growing hazelnuts, including using cover crops and intercropping. The field day runs from 10AM-4PM. The annual meeting of the Minnesota Hazelnut Foundation is from 9AM-10AM.
